Persistent Vomiting: Case Study

Patient Data: A 23-year-old female presented to her practitioner with complaints of continuous vomiting for three months, citing that it was worse in the morning with eating. Additional complaints included 2-3 years of chronic bloating, reflux, and abdominal pain.

Case History: This patient was initially prescribed 40 mg/day of a proton pump inhibitor, and was quickly bumped up to 80 mg/day by her gastroenterologist. No improvement was felt or observed and the patient subsequently took a short-term medical leave from her job.

Protocol: The patient began seeing a naturopathic doctor who did not order testing, due to financial limitations. The doctor recommended a Biocidin protocol that included 5 drops of Biocidin® Liquid BID.

Outcome: Patient experienced immediate improvement in her nausea and vomiting after starting Biocidin protocol and noted that episodes of both nausea and vomiting had decreased by 50%. Her dose of Biocidin® Liquid was increased to 15 drops BID, resulting in complete resolution of nausea, vomiting, reflux, pain and bloating. No changes were made to her diet during this time and she discontinued the Biocidin protocol after consuming one full bottle of the Biocidin liquid (680 drops). The patient was symptom-free 8 months post-protocol.
