Oral Dysbiosis: Case Study
Date of Protocol: 3/10/24-4/21/24
Patient Data: Male, 55 years old
Protocol:
- Dentalcidin toothpaste: Brush with a pea-sized amount twice daily for 2 minutes.
- Dentalcidin LS oral rinse: 2 pumps in the mouth, swish for 2 minutes and spit out. Repeat twice a day. Wait 20 minutes before eating or drinking after using the oral rinse.
- Flossing: Continue current regimen-do not change the frequency of flossing before or during the study.
Outcome:
Preliminary findings by Grin AI showed a reduction in gingival inflammation (turquoise), plaque (yellow) and tartar (orange) after three weeks on the protocol. Bristle testing (full genome sequencing) after three months on the protocol showed improvement in microbiome markers consistent with increased beneficial organisms, reduced gum inflammation, improved diversity, improved gut impact, while nitric oxide species remained stable in a healthy range. Participant reported improvement in oral health.
Next Steps:
Participant is adding Dentalflora, 1 lozenge per day, to the protocol and will retest and scan in three months.
