Floré by Sun Genomics Microbiome Study: Pilot Study

Objective: To evaluate the effect of a Biocidin protocol on the microbiome via DNA sequencing of stool.

Testing: Gut Health Test by Floré by Sun Genomics
Participants: 13 

Protocol: 
Stool test performed before protocol began and after 2 months of product usage. 
Biocidin® liquid-titrated to 10 drops 2 times per day
G.I. Detox™+ -2 capsules per day

Outcome:

1. Probiotic abundance showed positive trends, but did not reach statistical significance.
2. A keystone species, Akkermansia mucinophila, increased in 73% of the participants (8/11).  2 participants were not included in the data calculation of A. mucinophila due to zero measurable levels before the protocol began. 
3. Pharmaceutical antimicrobials cause significant collateral damage to probiotic species. Botanicals offer an alternative option with selective antimicrobial activity.
